WIEF is the one of the most prestigious India-focused conferences in the US which provides a unique platform for thought leaders to discuss the opportunities present and challenges that need to be addressed in India. This is the second edition of WIEF’s India focused Startup Competition. LetsVenture partnered with WIEF this year as ‘Startup community’ to spread the word among the startups. Jiffstore is a mobile-based order management system for Kiranawalas (small grocery shop owners) to increase their customer engagement and sales. It is powering Kiranawalas who were facing the fear of extinction in a highly technologically driven retail industry. Customers can order in 3 simple steps via Jiffstore’s platform. It opens the world of analytics, new age marketing and customer engagement tools for shop owners, which were otherwise not in their reach. Jiffstore was founded in 2013 by Satish Basavaraj, Aswin Ram,Shameel Abdullah and Sandeep S. The founders have 20+ years of experience in mobile, internet and analytics. The company has been a part of Tlabs Accelerator program. Now a 17 member team, Jiffstore is empowering 100+ retail stores in Bangalore.
Speaking on being selected as one of the Finalists for WIEF’s startup competition, Shameel Addullah, Co-founder and CEO of Jiffstore says “We have tried to blend technology with unorganized retail sector. We are empowering small retail shop owners and we believe that this kind of model works and has the potential to scale well. It’s a great feeling that a forum like WIEF has recognized us. We stumbled upon this competition through LetsVenture’s mailer. ” Jiffstore plans to expand to four Indian cities this year. They would be presenting their business plan to the panel of renowned Indian entrepreneurs and investors at WIEF conference in Philadelphia, USA on Feb 21st.
